A specific prompt usually works better than a vague request such as “make the lighting better.” Describe where the light should come from, whether it should be soft or hard, and whether the color should feel neutral, warm or cool. For example, a prompt such as “soft neutral studio light from the front-left with natural shadows” gives the model clearer visual guidance. Relighting can affect the whole scene, including the background, reflections and shadow direction, so compare the output carefully. Skin, glass, metal, glossy packaging and other reflective materials deserve extra attention. For product photography, verify that brand colors and surface finishes still look accurate. If the source is severely underexposed or clipped, there may not be enough recorded information for any relighting workflow to recover the original detail exactly.
